* New features
- Strange floating creatures have been seen in the deep dungeons
- Clawed monsters have been terrorizing adventurers in the Western Reserve
- Drakeling's have been seen in the forests and deserts
- Eagles have been seen in the forests and deserts
- New player journal. Will include specific information on your exploits and where you are in the world. Currently only includes date and time of year
- "J" is mapped to new journal
- "H" uses a health potion if one is available in your inventory
- "N" uses a mana potion if one is available in your inventory
- "+" (on the keyboard) zooms camera out a little at a time
- "-" (on the keyboard) zooms camera in a little at a time
- "+" (on the numeric pad) zooms camera out (just like holding CONTROL and mouse scrollwheel)
- "-" (on the numeric pad) zooms camera in (just like holding CONTROL and mouse scrollwheel)
- "3" returns camera to default height (just like HOME key)
- Mouse button 4 (a.k.a. XButton 1, "last web page") uses a health potion
if one is available in your inventory
- Mouse button 5 (a.k.a. XButton 2, or "next web page") uses a mana potion
if one is available in your inventory

* Gameplay changes
- Shrines are more effective
- Monster difficulty adjusted due to player health, mana, and stamina changes
- Character stats and player level affect player health, mana, and stamina differently for each class
- Mana and stamina regenerate to at least 50% when you get knocked out
- Weapon swap moved to "G" key. Was previously on the "S" key
- Wands and staves have either a spell with a fixed number of casts that fire each time they are used, or a spell with an infinite number of casts that only fires a percentage of the time
- Sound cue if you don't have a quick inventory item available to use
- Sound cue if you can't throw the weapon you're holding
- Treasures have a sound now
- Hoards have an opening sound
- "No room in inventory" has sound cue
- Minimap is zoomed out further
- Minimap is easier to read in dungeons
- Treasures are fixed to drop correctly
- Treasures aren't all unidentified right now. They'll go back to all unidentified once there's more reliable ways to identify unequippable items (like treasures)
- Descriptions display for talents you don't have access to yet
- Unidentified throwing weapons are now called "throwing weapon" instead of "dagger"
- You no longer end up with invalid item in the inventory quick use slot if you used the last of a previous stack of items
- Self Mastery health regeneration reduced some
- Mastery Shrines could incorrectly take away your ability to attack
- Attack Mastery fixed so there's always an improvment as you spend points in it
- Some monsters with ranged attacks were incorrectly also doing melee attacks
- Hot key for changing between walk and run ("R") was broken
- Player could spend and lose mastery point on unreachable mastery

* Engine changes
- Crash on game exit fixed
- Shadows and decals no longer fight and flicker
- Monsters and characters no longer stand in an unanimated position
- Music and ambient sound skips and hangs fixed
- Database checked to remove incorrect and inadverant Unicode characters
- Player names incorrectly required the characters to be ANSI
- Improved compatibility for older ATI graphics cards
- Improved compatibility for misc older graphics cards
- Improved detection of bad installs
- Some game options weren't saved if you changed them
- Some older graphics cards don't allow us to update the player's clothing. You don't get to see what you're wearing, but it won't crash
- Improved resolution and color depth selection for non-standard displays
- Player names may contain any valid alpha-numeric characters from any
installed language, multiple languages may be mixed together if so desired
- IME support should work fine as long as you play in a window
