Q: How many single player missions will be in the demo?
DP: The World in Conflict demo will contain one single-player map, just to give a small sneak peek on the campaign, which we’re extremely proud of by the way!
Q: How big is the demo file?
DP: We’re roughly going for about 1 GB in size.
Q: Where will I be able to download the demo?
DP: You’ll find the demo at Gamespot and all other websites with decent file servers. We’ll also be producing DVD’s, which can be found in shops, at events and many other places.
Q: Will the demo show off the Broadcast Tool?
DP: No, we’re keeping it to release it as a free download once World in Conflict is in stores.
Q: Are DX10 features implemented in the demo?
DP: Of course!
Q: Will the demo introduce anything new, such as a new game mode (tug of war) or new maps (like a russian map!)?
DP: The pre-order-exclusive map Ruins is completely new, and we’ve also included a skirmish map for players to play against bots offline.
Q: Is the demo going to have NATO playable for non-preorder customers?
DP: No, to keep the file as small as possible we chose to only include two factions. We want everybody to have a chance to test the game, so it is important that the download is bearable!
Q: What about changes to the tutorial? Will it go more deeply into the game, such as covering particular game modes or certain important, but basic game play tactics?
DP: There might be some polishes on it, but it’s essentially the same you saw in the beta. We are releasing some tutorial movies on the Internet, with tips on how to play World in Conflict, but we’re saving the advanced tactics for the forums. There’s a lot to discover there, and we’re sure that the hardcore players will top even our own greatest players once the game’s released.
Q: What happened to the World in Conflict merchandise store at CAFEPRESS?! Has it been removed? If so can you please make a new one with new merchandise!?
DP: We’re thinking of adding some kind of merchandise feature to worldinconflict.com, but it’s still too early in the process to say for sure.
Q: Why does the pineapple pwn the apple?!
DP: Well, look at that armor! It’s evident don’t you think?
Q: Is it true that a Russian Spy named “Gorbenko” has infiltrated Massive (http://gorbenko.wordpress.com/)?
DP: It’s true, and we still have no idea who the guy is. He’s like a ninja, working in the shadows, and it seems he can run in front of you and take a photo without you even knowing it! He’s also very good at infiltrating all the events we attend, as you surely already know. We have an internal award for whoever exposes him. Let me know if you have any ideas…
