In PAC-MAN REMIX, players can acquire power-ups and traps as they play through six stages (with five levels each) to beat six giant ghost-bosses. Power-up items include:

•Jump – jump over ghosts or walls
•Dash – move faster
•Lucky Item – all the pellets turn into Power Pellets
•Ninja Item – Trick the ghosts with an illusion of PAC-MAN
The stage-specific traps give PAC-MAN an extra boost against the ghosts. For example, the dash panel lets PAC-MAN travel faster and run through ghosts while the warp tunnel lets PAC-MAN (and the ghosts) travel to other points in the maze.
