Killer Bee Software Announces Beta Test For Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition
For Immediate Release
October 4th, 2004
Killer Bee Software has announced that their latest strategy game, Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition, has begun its beta test. “This is an exciting moment as over forty testers review the game in the coming weeks”, said Mark Kinkead, owner of Killer Bee Software. “The classic game of Empire,
and turned based strategy gaming itself, are now embarking on a new evolutionary phase”.
Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition features the 4-X strategic challenges found in the other games of the Empire Series which were recognized by Gamespy as part of the best 50 “All Time” computer games. The Enhanced Edition has new units and rules, as well as other features revolutionary for a
turn-based strategy game, such as a fully exposed Computer Player programming API, customizable units and terrain, and virtually unlimited maps and game sizes, all within the Empire engine.
All features are to be included in the beta test. “I can’t wait to see what the testers do with writing their own computer players...”, said Kinkead, “It’s going to be a blast to play.”
Killer Bee Software acquired the rights to Empire Deluxe along with another classic strategy game, The Perfect General, in late 2002. In 2003, Killer Bee Software released Empire Deluxe Internet Edition and The Perfect General Internet Edition.
