Killer Bee Software released today its preview version of its upcoming title Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition, the next generation in the Empire series of turn-based strategy games. The preview version is restricted by shutting down every 45 minutes, and saved games cannot be loaded - network play is available. Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition has new units and rules, as well as other features revolutionary for a turn-based strategy game, such as a fully exposed Computer Player programming API, customizable units and terrain, and virtually unlimited maps and game sizes, all within the Empire engine. The game will be initially available on Windows 98, ME, 2K and XP operating systems sometime in the last week of 2004. The game is priced at $35.00, with a presales period before release offering a 10% discount.
