GFI's RTS added to Playlogic's line up
Publisher Playlogic Entertainment today announced it has signed the real time strategy (RTS) game Officers from Russian development studio GFI. The key feature of the game is interaction between the gamer and the environment. Taking advantage of the SpeedTree technology, the developers enhanced the realism of tree models and their behavior. Three-dimensional, high-poly trees react as the living ones. Leaves are swaying, branches are shaking when e.g. missiles fly or explode near by. The story of the game is based on the general facts of the World War II. Depending on the side you choose, the game will start from the moment when your side actually began hostilities: 1939 for Germany, 1941 for Soviet Union, and 1943 for Allied forces. Officers will be released in Q3 2007 - a demo is available if you haven't tried it yet.
