Starport: Galactic Empires is a massively-multiplayer persistent world game. There are elements of strategy, role-playing, and action, set in a space theme. RPG elements include improving your character as you play, choosing the type of character you will be (trader/explorer/pirate/founder), and buying better equipment. Strategy elements are that you build up empires in the galaxy and compete against other players and teams for control of star systems. The action elements come from space combat between ships, and planetary invasion.
