Playlogic signs Inuits and announces New Titles

Playlogic announces new titles November 28, 2003 ? Game publisher and developer Playlogic today announced more new releases. The company will invest between 12 and 15 million euro in the development of games next year. The titles are a strong addition to the scheduled releases. In February/March the first four Playlogic titles will be available worldwide: Cyclone Circus (PS2), Xyanide (Xbox Live/GBA/mobile), Alpha Black Zero (PC) and Airborne Troops (PS2/PC). The new titles will be released by the and of 2004 and in 2005. French developer Widescreen Games is currently developing Inuits for the publisher. In this fairytale-like action adventure, players navigate through an environment filled with ice, caves, vulcanos and trolls. Inuits is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2004. Playlogic remains tight lipped about its second new Whitescreen production. With the working title 'Project Snap' a game is being released for PS2 Online, Xbox Live and PC. Rogier Smit, responsible for concept & development at Playlogic International: ?We expect this game to become a big succes, but don't want make it too easy for our competitors. That's why we decided not to reveal any details yet.? PC gamers can look forward to the sequel of Alpha Black Zero: part two of this tactical shooter is also scheduled for the forth quarter of 2004. Equiped with new features including vehicles and packed with more thrilling missions, Alpha Black Zero 2 puts the player in Lieutenant Kyle Hardlaws shoes again. The commander of the squad of elite soldiers has to resolve some complicated political conflicts on rebellious planets, using his tactical insight and the combat skills of his team. The game is developed by The Hague based studio Khaeon. Playlogic also announced to release a racegame next year for the Portable PlayStation (PSP). The publisher acquired an official licence from Sony and aims to release its first PSP title worldwide simultaneously with the launch of the new handheld. Right now Dutch developer Engine Software is working on a PSP game with the temporary title ?PSP Racing?. More details will be revealed early 2004. The science fiction shoot-'em-up Xyanide will not only be available on Xbox Live and Game Boy Advance, but also for the Nokia N-Gage. Licenced by Playlogic, Overloaded Pocket Media is converting the title to this new mobile platform.
