Several AI improvements, fixes, and some tweaks have been sighted crossing the Rubicon
Matrix Games and Forced March Games have issued a new patch for Hannibal: Rome and Carthage in the Second Punic War, a turn-based strategy game that puts you in command of the Carthaginian military during a period of total war over land and sea with the young Roman Republic. This patch most notably includes a half dozen AI improvements to give Rome an extra edge in some important areas like avoiding mountain attrition and sending relief efforts to a besieged Rome. A handful of bug fixes and tweaks also come with the update in addition to a few rule changes that mostly affect Roman recruiting and retreat options when in Italy.
