"Tora! Tora! Tora!". This word meaning 'tiger' in Japanese, repeated three times, was the beginning of the end of the American navy stationed at Pearl Harbour. On a fateful day, one of the bloodiest wars in the history of human conflict erupted - the sea war in the Pacific. If you feel like teaching the Japanese a lesson, then join the American army.
Perhaps you imagined your first trip to Hawaii a bit differently. As long as you can remember, these blissful islands tempted you with naked girls lying under beach palms. Surely, many times, you have seen the posters of cute pin-up girls. Yeah man, what a dream...
Meanwhile, reality in Pearl Harbor has changed unrecognisably since the 7th December when it all began. Hawaii, during the Second World War, is a place of constant sea and air battle. A narrow and always warm berth in aircraft carrier pilots quarters... and relentless alarms, exercises, and manoeuvres. You do not even get to see the palm trees, because coming close to an island, or lowering a flight path, exposes you to painful lessons by Japanese anti-aircraft artillery.
Bluntly, there are no holidays. WWII: Pacific Heroes will provide you with fundamental lessons in survival. During many of the missions, there will be no time for take-off, and the commander will order you to man the artillery and fire at the enemy in the sky as though they were geese. It will be the same during invasion - you will have to support our guys with machine-guns and tank-guns. Throughout most of the 20 exciting missions (highlighted by special effects) you will take part in combat patrols. Beneath the wings of your swift and dangerous Hellcat fighter, you will see the astonishing scenery of the Hawaiian islands - detailed to the last palm leaf and beset by the barrels of Japanese guns. There will also be the chance to fight enemy Zero fighter planes. And always, when the need arises to cleanse the islands of all "Japanese objects", you will be at the helm of deadly dangerous Dauntless bomber aircraft. All this awaits you in full graphic detail, also operational on older computers and graphics cards! If you want to combine pleasure with constructive action, then fly with us to the Pacific, take a seat at the artillery, or in the cockpit, and kill the enemy. You will find that war has never been so enjoyable!
Game description (summary)
WWII: Pacific Heroes is an innovative action game. It fuses popular 'point and shoot' games with simulation action games. Everything takes place in fascinating scenarios. The player transforms into a pilot stationed with his squadron on one of the American aircraft carriers during the war in the Pacific. Breathtaking adventure during the Japanese-American War awaits him - aircraft carrier battles, defensive action against Japanese invasion, and the storming of islands occupied by the enemy. Some of the 20 missions will be air missions during which one will have to combat enemy fighters, shell enemy positions, or torpedo Japanese warships. The player will have at his disposal either the speedy and dangerous Hellcat fighter aircraft or the Dauntless bomber loaded with bombs and torpedoes. During a second type of mission, the player will have at his disposal anti-aircraft machine guns, artillery, or even powerful coastal bombardment artillery, and will defend against enemy air raids or destroy Japanese infantry invasion units. Moreover, all this takes place in the beautiful scenery of the Hawaiian Islands, as though straight from a travel brochure. However, instead of holidaymaking and delightful views, the player will face a powerful charge of emotions and excitement - highlighted with special effects and in full graphic detail, operational also on older computers and graphic cards.
