Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps Gets Exclusive Website; Playable Demo Due Soon
23 January 2004 - The full horrors of war have never looked so good, as Digital Jesters' first real-time strategy game Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps will prove ? and to illustrate this the publisher has launched the official Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps Website. Available now at www.desertratsgame.com, the site is the online destination for anyone interested in this gorgeous real-time strategy game, which is due for release in April.
The official site will also see the launch of the first playable demo ? which is expected online towards the end of the month. This will be the first time players will be able to sample the game's gorgeous visuals and dramatic twist on the traditional RTS, offering both single and multiplayer missions alongside a tutorial. Additionally, the site offers its own dedicated forum, downloads area, images, information and videos.
"Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps really demands to be seen," says Leo Zullo, marketing manager, Digital Jesters. "The game is one of the most beautiful examples of the genre we've ever encountered, really pushing the genre forward through its unique narrative-based mission structure. The game presents strategic combat as never before ? and we're delighted to be able to unveil this vast online resource."
Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps is due for release on PC CD-ROM in April 2004, priced £29.99. The playable demo will be released towards the end of January.
