Single Player Demo for Upcoming Mobster Action Game Available Online
West Chester, PA (February 20, 2004) – Publisher Whiptail Interactive and developer MediaMobsters have released the highly anticipated single-player demo for their upcoming action game Gangland, scheduled to ship on March 3rd. The demo lets gamers take on the role of Mario, an up and coming mafia foot soldier, and features two Conquest Missions and one Challenge Mission from the game. Gangland has a SRP of $49.99 and has been rated M for Mature.
The first conquest mission in the demo, “Meeting Vincenzo,” offers a basic tutorial for Gangland and allows players to familiarize themselves with the game’s controls and objectives. The second conquest mission, entitled “Street Girls Missing,” incorporates more elements of the game’s storyline and gives players the chance to test drive one of the seven vehicles from the full game. Finally, the challenge mission, “Big Mamma Challenge,” tests players’ ability to complete a given task with limited resources. The full game will feature a total of 16 Conquest and 12 Challenge Missions as well as 24 multiplayer maps for up to 8 players.
Gangland combines the RTS, RPG & SIM genres into a new breed of gaming mayhem. Born into the Sicilian mafia players must work their way up within the family and compete with other gangsters and mafia factions from all over the world for supremacy in Paradise City. Players will set up extortion rackets, bribe, steal, kill, bootleg, seduce, put out contracts, blow up buildings, get married and have children, build brothels and speak-easies, ally with international connections and much more...
