Ideas From the Deep announces Bugdom 2 for Windows has gone final and is now available for download.
DALLAS, TX - March 5th, 2004 - Ideas From the Deep today announced that their latest game, Bugdom 2 for Windows, has gone final and is now available for free download from the IFD website (www.ifd.com). Online registration to unlock the full version is only $24.95. Additionally, the DVD packaged CD version of Bugdom 2 is now in manufacturing and expected to be available in three weeks. It will sell for $29.95 and will be available directly from Ideas From the Deep.
"Bugdom 2 should be quite a thrill for casual gamers and families," said Lane Roathe, President of Ideas From the Deep, "We've faithfully brought over the Mac OS title from Pangea, who created an entirely new game based on the Bugdom world." According to Roathe, Bugdom 2 uses much more advanced technology than the original game, therefore, it is more visually stunning and has much more going on than was possible when the older Bugdom 1 was released.
In addition to an entirely new storyline, Bugdom 2 contains all new characters, levels, and gameplay. There are ten levels in the game, and they all take place in and around a house. In addition to the familiar 2nd-person action-adventure levels, there are also several special levels which include flying a balsa airplane while bombing ant hills, and surfing down the rushing water in a sewer.
Bugdom 2 is another in a serious of Pangea Software titles IFD has brought to Windows, including Bugdom 1 and Nanosaur. Bugdom 2 will run on Windows 98se, ME, 2K and XP. It requires at least a 500Mhz processor with 64MB RAM and 8MB of VRAM. A 3D accelerator with the minimum cababilities of an ATI Radeon or nVidia geForce is required.
