Budapest, Hungary, 14 April 2004. — Private Moon Studios releases the first "AGON NetBoard", the online version of Tablut, including a communications and community software. The application is available for FREE*. AGON NetBoard (Tablut) is the board game taken from the second episode of Private Moon Studios' serial adventure game (AGON). The application makes it possible to organise tournaments and to use chat-based communication with other players over the Internet. The game’s environment is identical to that of AGON; Adventures in Lapland that create a unique atmosphere with original soundtrack and beautifully rendered pictures. "The board game was very entertaining and really gave a sense of accomplishment when I finally (after many attempts!) won the game." Alexander Tait – Just Adventure "When you are finally victorious you can play again and again against the computer, or go online and play against other Agon fans!" Rosemary Young – Quandary NetBoard enable the players to play: • offline against the computer; • offline against a friend on the same computer (Hot Seat); • online against virtually anybody who installs NetBoard and has an Internet connection. Private Moon Studios has created a smart boardgame engine fully loaded with features, which suits all its customers’ skills. • In offline mode (game against the computer) the boardgame engine can be set to normal or easy level, so payers can tone down the computer driven "virtual player" when found it too powerful; • In online mode, players are ranked in classes according to their points. A filter enables players to block others if ranked in different classes. They can even set passwords in order to play with selected partners only; • In online mode, AGON NetBoard's smart engine gives different number of points to a player depending on the classification of the beaten player. Based on the point of all players a "Top List" is generated. • All these and any other topics can be discussed through AGON NetBoard's chat service, which is easier to use than any other chat channel. New AGON episodes will bring further additions, thus the range of board games will continuously grow in the future. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP • 800 Mhz Pentium® III or equivalent processor • 128 MB RAM • 32 MB DirectX® 8.0 Compatible 3D Video Card (GeForce2 or equal) • DirectX® Compatible Sound Card • Highspeed Internet Access ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– *PRICING ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Private Moon Studios continues to provide the AGON NetBoard addition as a free supplement to buyers of AGON.
