According to 1Up.com, the July issue of Computer Gaming World magazine will contain the first public details on Battlefield 2 (working name). In contrast with Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam, this next full PC game in the Digital Illusions-Electronic Arts multiplayer franchise will feature modern day weapons and vehicles, like Battlefield: Modern Combat, the recently announced console game scheduled for release in late 2004 on PS2 (story).
