XCOM Delayed to 2013

The franchise's relaunch will begin in 2012 with the XCOM: Enemy Unknown strategy game from Firaxis
The issue 226 of Game Informer has word that XCOM, a first-person shooter in the works at 2K Martin and previously scheduled for March 9th, 2012, has been postponed to 2013. In XCOM, you will join humanity's struggle against an unknown enemy and step into the shoes of William Carter, an FBI agent tasked with identifying this mysterious growing threat and eliminating it at any cost. True to the roots of the franchise, players will be placed in charge of building a campaign of risky strategic gambits to overcome high-stake odds.
