Burger Wars is a fast action, multiplayer online, first person shooter (FAMOFPS). In the year 2033 two competing burger franchises, McBozo and Burger Clown are in an all out global war as they battle for supremacy in oÂÂne of the worlds last free market enterprises that still employs human workers. Team based play tactics are involved and 3 game types, Team Death Match, Capture the Flag and Assassinate the Clown are supported. Its runs on PC, Mac and Linux. It can handle up to 64 players per server, and its spoof humor is a guarantee for some side splitting laughter. The players charcters are stored on the server, creating a persistent serverside charcter that can learn and grow, and gain experience and rank, and new and more powerful burger weapons.
We have a game type that’s called “Assassinate the Clown” the objective of this game type is to protect your teams clown and assassinate the enemy teams clown. In the ATC game type each team has a clown mascot that has his own special Artificial Intelligence routines. Your team scores a point for assassinating the clown and 3 points for bringing his body back to your base. At first we just had the body disappear and the clown would re-spawn back at the enemy base, ready for the next assassination attempt. We are playing with the idea of changing the game to add in a special feature. When you bring the enemy clown back to your base you can abuse him and or defile his dead body. We decided that a “decapitate the clown” game type would really be in poor taste, so that game type is out for now.
Burger Wars is currently scheduled for release in Summer 2004. More information can be obtained at

About Amped Labs...
Amped Labs is a small company located in Plano Texas producing independent games. We develop and publish our own games. Until recently we were only a development shop. After Meeting with severl publishers at the game connection we have now opened our own underground publishing division. We hope to foster a new independent publishing movement called F*TP or "F* the Publisher." The "F*" stands for "forget" the publisher as we believe the traditional retail publishing business model is broken.
