CarBall v1.4

The v1.4 release of CarBall, a new modification for Unreal Tournament 2004, is now available for download (thanks: Blues). "CarBall differs from the majority of gametypes currently available as the main activity of the game is not related to killing other players (although that's totally possible) to accumulate points. Instead the main activity in CarBall is driving your Buggy around the map with the aim of knocking the Ball into the opposing teams Goal to score points and win the match".   • History: Version 1.4 - Fixed "cannot connect to other games after playing CarBall" problem. - CarBall moved to it's own folder tree. - Addressed problem with custom ballskins not working online. - CarBall Version now shown in server info when browsing for games. - Tweaked 3 of the 4 maps that ship with CarBall. Note: Uninstall any previous versions of CarBall before installing Version 1.4. Failure to do so may cause CarBall to not work. Version 1.3 - Managed to optimize a bunch of code. - Added visual effect for NitroBoosting vehicles. - Enemy playernames now displayed above their vehicles. - Fixed issue if player dies just before they score a goal. - Added fanfare to play when a goal is scored. - Ball now resets if it enters a goal area without touching a vehicle. - Several minor issues discovered and resolved. Notes: Thanks to Devon Carlson and Shrimp for their help with getting the playernames drawn above enemy vehicles. Version 1.2 - Added ability for custom events to be triggered when goals scored. - CarBall now has the functionality of Stunt Mutator builtin. - The Ball can now glow or not glow. It can also glow different colors. - Stopped "Fender Bender" sound's ability to play due the the enormous amount of fender bender spam during matches. - Fixed up the Flip code. The Buggy is flipping back onto it's wheels so much better now. - Disabled the printing of the vehiclename when spawning. - Game Manual and Mapping guide updated to reflect additions/modifications (as you would expect). Version 1.1 - Fixed issue with HUD not drawing inventory correctly. - Lowered the volume of the sound played when going invisible/visible. - Fixed CB-Stadium bug where goals could be scored from behind and atop the goal areas. Version 1.x ships with 4 maps, more will come soon. Version 1.x has no real support for BotMatches. Bots aren't very well suited to playing games where they aren't picking up gameobjects. I'm working towards implementing Bot AI for version2. CarBall is an entrant in Phase3 of the Make Somthing Unreal competition. Apart from the CarBall logo (which was created by ValHallen (thanks a million bro)) everything else in CarBall (that is not default UT2004 content) was created by me.
