Changes: * Fixed shotgun, reload is one press, reload can be interrupted, projectiles are properly spawn, etc * Scaled weapon damage up * Lowered camo time for scout and assault * 1st person weapon visual tweaks * Scoped mode is different * The Panic time msgs flash every 4 seconds instead of every second * Team select menu displays team counts * Removed SuddenDeath & Round Time Limit from Engagement - Spawn protection time added * Class-Loadout menu auto selects last choosen class and misc tweaks * TDM Rules option Known Issues: * Grenades functionality, animations, models etc are temporary. * SD13G no visual indication of amount of grenades or whether one is loaded * Gui issues at lower than 1024 rez * Scoreboard sucks :P * Issue with 1st person reload anim not playing at times - it's being interrupted * At time the 1st person models may go black - rare and hard to reproduce. * 3rd person weapon models do not get camo applied ocassionally Overview & Common Questions What is the mod? Neotokyo is a first person shooter inspired by sci-fi anime created by Masamune Shirow, Katushiro Otomo and others. Why create this mod? While there more than enough first person shooters to go around, there hasn't been one of note that has focused on this genre. We consider it a work of love. Where and when does the mod take place? The game takes place in a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 25 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. The problems of today have not gone away; in fact they have worsened. The rich are richer, the poor are unbelievably poor. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. Teenage angst has become a beast of the likes never seen before. What do I control? You control, as in most first person shooters, one character, however various vehicles like 'shirow class' urban tanks will be available. Also on the wish list are AI controlled familiars. I.e. police dogs and robots. What is the main focus? Initially the main focus of the mod will be multiplayer. Game play modes will largely be team versus team. In addition to classic game play modes the game will feature innovative game play modes that are in the spirit of the universe of Neotokyo. It is our plan that single player 'episodes' will be released periodically with a heavy emphasis on story and setting. Can I play as Kaneda/Kusanagi/etc? No. This mod is inspired, not a copy. Likewise, Neotokyo is not the "Neo Tokyo" portrayed in Akira the comic book and movie. However we will do our best to capture and allow you to experience the visceral world portrayed in anime/manga such as Ghost in the Shell and Akira.
