God of War: Ascension Officially Announced and Screens
Prequel details Kratos' emotional story of redemption, while introducing competitive multiplayer
Along with these five screenshots, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced that God of War: Ascension, developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) Santa Monica Studio, will be available exclusively for PS3.
God of War: Ascension is a prequel that will show Kratos' emotional path of redemption, while detailing the rise of his rage to break free from Ares' bond. The game promises epic cinematic storytelling, visceral battles, and blockbuster moments, plus various enhancements, including a revamped combat system and a brand new online multiplayer mode. Built off of the heart and soul of the single-player campaign, the new multiplayer option can include up to eight players and offers a variety of different multiplayer modes, along with customizable avatar warriors with a range of weapons, armor, and more.
