Ascaron Entertainment has launched for Arena Wars a german playable demo which offers one Singleplayer Tournament from the full game - the demo requires installation of .NET Framework v1.1. This action/RTS game previously known as WebWars Arena (story) has gone Gold in Germany and will be released on July 16 (story). "Arena Wars is an action-filled, fast paced strategy game including an easy, user-friendly 3-D Editor for the creation of customized maps, integrated chat function, Voice-Over-Net support as well as an assorted amount of innovative features.   • Arena Wars is a completly new kind of 3D-Real-Time-Strategy-Game, which combines the game principles and interface from Real-Time-Strategy games with Action-Shooters. Arena Wars is not only a multiplayer game for up to 8 players, who can fight against each other and challenge other players from all around the world via the AW Server, but also offers action loaded singleplayer missions against one or more computer enemies. There are 3 different game modes: Capture the Flag Bombing Run Double Domination. Unlike other games it is not the goal to kill the enmey's base or army. You have to steal the enemy flag, bring a bomb into his base or sieze Domination points to get score points. The player who reaches the score limit first wins the game. For example in a Capture the Flag game with a capture limit of 5, you have to capture the enemy flag 5 times to win. Story We write the year 2137. From a military training simulation a new kind of sport evolved: Arena Wars. Strategy experts from all around the world fight to become famous and gain honour. They have to balance the right amount of strategy, speed and insidiousness so they can be successful. Only the best of the best can win the tournament and become immortal. 3.. 2.. 1.. FIGHT! Features The 6 Singleplayer tournaments with over 60 Missions provides weeks of fun Multiplayer via LAN and Internet over the Arena Wars Server with up to 8 players and 4 observers per game, very advanced chat server. 2on2 singleplayer missions can also be played cooperative with your ally via LAN or Internet Replays in a quality you have never seen before: Not only the game data is stored, but also everyones mouse and screen positions from the whole game, observer data and even all voice and webcam data can be stored in the compact replay format. Transmission of voice via headsets and video via webcams every easy (e.g. if playing 4on4 you can use this with all players in your team) 3 different game modes: Capture The Flag (CTF), Bombing Run (BR), Double Domination (DD) Items are the real ressource in the game: They give your units advanced abilities, protect them and can hurt enemy units Special abilities of all units, like flying or teleporting Units can be upgraded to make them stronger, also gives a lot more strategic possibilities. 3 very different graphic sets (Grassland, Desert, Vulcano) are displayed with a very fast and high detail 3D engine Very easy to use editor to create own maps Its possible to include own player logos into the game Beginner friendly user interface, nice tutorials to help you out from the start Unscripted artifical intelligence plays at a very high level and is never predicable, can play any map.
