Hawken makes use of the procedural generation SpeedTree has become known for
Hawken, an upcoming Unreal Engine 3 mech-themed multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Adhesive Games for PC, uses SpeedTree for Games, IDV announced. SpeedTree for Games delivers natural real-time trees and plants with seamless LOD transitions, an array of lighting, physics and wind effects, as well as an SDK that can be programmed to support any level of engine integration.
The focus of Hawken is an intense and enjoyable battle experience that captures the feeling of piloting a heavy war machine while keeping the action fast-paced and strategic. Scheduled to enter Open Beta on 12.12.12, the game offers two unique team game modes, as well as Team Deathmatch and Free-For-All Deathmatch.
