Crytek's FPS attracts most online players simultaneously present on one online shooter server
Crytek announced today that their free-to-play title, Warface, has entered the Guinness World Record for having the most players online simultaneously on one online shooter server. The record was set on Saturday, January 26th, when 145,012 players in Russia were enjoying Warface on the Moscow-based Alfa server.
The game casts players as part of Warface, a select unit of elite warriors that have banded together to fight Blackwood - the ruling brute-force government. Featuring first-person shooter co-op and competitive multiplayer gameplay, with regularly added new content, Warface gives players plenty of level-up opportunities and various upgrades.
