Renaissance Heroes Launched on Steam and Trailer

Releasing a new video, ChangYou has announced that Renaissance Heroes, an online multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) set in the re-imagined world of the 16th century Renaissance Europe, has been be launched via Steam. Created by Bridea (developers of Huxley) and previously known as DaVinci Online, Renaissance Heroes takes place in an alternative history in which famed inventor Leonardo da Vinci has created a machine that could change the world. In the wake of his death, the plans for the mysterious invention have been scattered, and warring factions vie to claim them.
The game features competitive multiplayer environments of up to 12 players, including game modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. It also features a roster of playable heroes, each with their own unique visuals and abilities to suit different play styles, plus an arsenal of over a dozen of Renaissance-inspired weaponry familiar to FPS fans.
In celebration of the Steam launch, players will be introduced to a new hero, Alphon, who is an explorer in search of glory and fame. Alphon joins the other seven heroes in the battle to find the blueprint for the "Da Vinci Machine" - a device said to grant its possessor with exorbitant wealth and everlasting power.
In addition, all players who register for Renaissance Heroes through Steam will receive a permanent Steam banner that grants additional XP when equipped, along with a playable "Grinder-R" submachine gun. Also, for one week only, players will have the opportunity to purchase bundles of weapons and costumes in the Steam shop at a 75% discount.
