What You Should Focus On:
The new Spell/Skill system has been implemented in the following six classes: Phalanx, Sorcerer, Priest, Ghoul, Dark Priest and Menthat. There are two things that we want to test with this patch: stability of the game and the balance of the new spell/skill system, both in PvM and PvP. To test stability, you can perform maximum combat against monsters and PvP (in all the combinations you can imagine i.e. mixed combat, team combat against monsters, etc).
We also made it so that you have almost unlimited amounts of mana, this way you will be able to cast as many spells and use your skills as much as you want. All the feedback you can give us about the new system will be taken into consideration by the design team (use the Game Design Forum, Anaxagor will be there quite often to read your feedback). We know it's still buggy/unbalanced, but we want to know what you think about it
The Most Important New Features:
The city of Altenberg has been redesigned.
There's a Banking System available for storage
New Spell/Skill System implemented in six classes. Skills will upgrade automatically, which means no more trainers! These are the six classes with the new system:
Phalanx
Sorcerer
Priest
Ghoul
Dark Priest
Menthat
There are a few changes in the interface:
Where do you like the overhead map better? On the right or on the left? ;)
Click on the Active Spell/Skill icon on the left side of your screen and the Quick slot will appear
" Quick Consider implemented: if there's a monster nearby, point it with the mouse to see its name; depending on the color of the name, you will know its degree of difficulty if you are thinking of attacking it. Press and hold the Alt key and all the names of the characters, NPC's, items and monsters nearby will appear Here's the list of colors with its meaning:
Red: don't even think about it
Orange: tough but not impossible if you're not alone, big xp reward
Yellow: it will not be easy but you should be victorious, xp rewarding
Green: easy bet, not as much xp reward as a yellow monster though
Grey: hey, fight someone your own size! No xp reward whatsoever
Act II of the storyline is implemented. However, the last part of it is missing, we wouldn't want to spoil the surprise ;)
Fifteen brand new side quests have been implemented
The Day/Night cycle has been modified; the daylight has a longer duration. The night is now "blue", you will now be able to see your character during the night :p
You will notice that the torches in the city are a source of lighting now
The Poison Spells will reward you with xp now
We have modified the intensity of torches, one should be enough for the whole night
Known Bugs:
The Banking System is still being fine-tuned. For the time being, items may "disappear" when withdrawn from the bank, they are still there but you can't see them. You will need to re-log into the game and then you will be able to see them in your inventory.
There are some Spells/Skills that don't work properly yet. Your feedback will help us fix them and balance them.
Act II of the Storyline is available, if you find any bugs please report them. Your comments on the storyline are also welcome :)
