The world-renowned games writer and narrative designer lends her writing talents to the THREAKS team
Reverb Publishing and German indie developer THREAKS have announced that Writers' Guild of Great Britain award-winner and BAFTA-nominated writer Rhianna Pratchett will be assisting with polishing the script and storyline for Beatbuddy, an action-music adventure developed for PC and Mac. Pratchett, who has worked on numerous titles such as the Overlord series, Heavenly Sword, Mirror's Edge, and the recently rebooted Tomb Raider, learned of Beatbuddy indie studio THREAKS from Grammy-nominated artist Austin Wintory who is creating an exclusive song and level for the game. She was instantly intrigued at the prospect of working with Wintory and the talented minds at THREAKS.
In Beatbuddy, players take control of the mystical Beatbuddy as they navigate him through an epic and humorous adventure in which all game mechanics are musical. Through player's interactions with enemies, obstacles and characters, each song is re-built and remixed, making no two playthroughs the same.
