Soldier Front 2 Open Beta Begins and Screens

Free-to-play FPS begins open beta testing with new content
Releasing these six fresh screenshots, Aeria Games announced the start of the open beta testing for Soldier Front 2, a massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) powered by Unreal Engine 3. The game features a large amount of team combat modes, including a unique MOBA-style scenario and a co-op mode pitting players against waves of encroaching aliens. An achievement system is built into the game for the players who love completing optional objectives to rack up achievement points. In addition, weapons and gear can be customized as players progress further in the game to alter their appearance, allowing players to further distinguish themselves on the battlefield.
During the Open Beta, players can arm themselves with an arsenal of newly released guns, and take their newfound weaponry into the new Escape mode. In Escape, one team must first reach and activate a signal point to call down a helicopter and then fight their way to exit point. The opposing team's objective is to prevent any enemies from ever reaching the helicopter, by either running out the clock or exterminating the escaping team.
Along with the new mode come four more maps previously unavailable in closed beta. The Shipyard has been added to Deathmatch options, while Team Deathmatch sees the addition of the Bazaar, Desert, and Base maps. Desert is also available for selection in the bomb-defusing Sabotage mode.
