Magicka: Wizard Wars Gets Steam Early Access and Trailer

Wizards kept mashing fire & water keys until it worked
Paradox Interactive today announced that Magicka: Wizard Wars, a player-versus-player (PvP)-focused multiplayer game based on their slapstick sorcery franchise, is available now via Steam allowing players to purchase and play an early version of the game before its official release. Magicka: Wizard Wars can now be played during its Alpha phase, giving players a look behind the magic at the equally baffling world of game development and a chance to see the title take shape via their own feedback and suggestions.
In Magicka: Wizard Wars, two teams of four wizards each will go head-to-lightning-bolt on the field of battle, wielding a wealth of magic spells as players adapt their tactics on the fly in response to their opponents. In true Magicka fashion, victory will go to the team whose wizards can combine the craftiest casts - and who can avoid the most friendly fire.
This game is the first title developed by Paradox North, a new studio within Paradox Interactive comprised of industry veterans. A new video is locally mirrored.
