Releasing a new video, Square Enix announced that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been launched today in Japan, for Xbox 360 and PS3. The game will arrive in North America on February 11th, 2014, and across Europe on February 14th.
A new video that features Lightning and the rest of the fan-favorite cast members in a fascinating array of visuals within the Nova Chrysalia world is now locally mirrored. Note that this trailer utilizes technology not featured in the final product.
In related news, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will feature the original Japanese Voice-Overs available as free downloadable content (DLC) during the first two weeks of the game being on-sale. After this limited period, the Japanese Voice-Over Pack will be available as paid DLC. The Japanese Voice-Over Pack also includes lip-synching that differs from the English-language voice track already included with the game, to ensure a more natural and localized game experience.
