1. Valve announced a $250,000 community-funded prize pool for the 2014 EMS One Katowice CS:GO Championship sponsored by Intel and Asus. Taking place inside the famous Spodek indoor stadium at the IEM in Katowice, the upcoming CS:GO tournament will follow the progress of DreamHack Winter 2013's eight quarter-finalists, who will be joined by eight qualifying teams from ESL's EMS One Online Qualifiers. The event's matches will be streamed live via continuous high-quality coverage provided by ESL, with the championship match showcased on the Intel Extreme Masters Main Stage in front of thousands of fans.

2. Wizards of the Coast announced that the new rules system for Dungeons & Dragons will release in summer 2014, after nearly two years of an open public playtest and more than 175,000 playtest participants.

3. CompuExpert announced that Rise of Flight: Channel Battles Edition, the latest edition of this realistic WWI PC flight simulation developed by 777 Studios, is now available for purchase in physical disc format at various online retailers. Among the new features is the hefty Channel Battles mission set, in which the player takes helm of the gigantic Felixstowe F.2a flying boat to sink warships, merchant ships, U-boats, and other nautical targets. A highly-detailed Channel Battle Map is also included in-game, which accurately depicts the coastlines and villages of Northern France, the Southern English coast, and the Flanders area of Belgium as they were at the dawn of aviation. Furthermore, the boxed package includes two double-sided Rise of Flight posters which feature detailed artwork from 777 Studios.

4. The arcade-adventure Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians won Best Game Design und Best Serious Game at the German Developer Awards 2013. Both awards came as a big surprise for THREAKS since Beatbuddy was competing with titles like Crysis 3. Beatbuddy is currently 75% off as part of the Steam Christmas Sale.

5. InnoGames released the first episode of InnoGames TV, a new monthly video podcast. Viewers receive information about the newest updates, events and features from their favorite game in this monthly show. In addition, InnoGames TV gives an inside look into the work of the company’s game designers, developers and all the other people behind InnoGames’ popular online titles.

6. The Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt Sweepstakes is officially over, and 516,812,670 enemies were killed and 28,651,011 guns were looted. After combing through over one million entries, 2K and Gearbox announce that Christopher Kuehne has taken home the top prize of $50,000. Visit this page for details.

7. All titles developed by Puppy Games, including Sandbox Mode for Revenge of the Titans plus two soundtracks, are currently for sale through the Humble Puppy Bundle. The sale is on until 26th of December, and you may name whatever price you wish for everything, as is traditional. If it makes over $150k the source code will be unlocked for all too.
