The patch is for PC only, specifically the DVD disc version or EADM/Origin digital download version
A new patch for The Sims 3 is available now upgrading to v1.67.2 the third installment in The Sims series and its expansions (thanks: The Patches Scrolls). The patch updates server messaging for the main game (The Sims 3).
