From design philosophies to the technical possibilities of PS4, Creative Lead Alistair Hope reveals a host of insights on the development of Alien: Isolation
SEGA and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products have released a new video developer diary for Alien: Isolation, offering fresh details about this first-person survival horror experience that aims to focus on capturing the horror and tension evoked by Ridley Scott's 1979 classic film. Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother's disappearance. As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.
Developed by Creative Assembly, Alien: Isolation is due for release in late 2014 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
