In fact, the tour’s been so successful, we’ve even had to create a bigger tent!” The hardcore team tournament will be staged at exclusive GameRiot locations, including Washington, DC; Norfolk, VA; Spartanburg, SC; and Dallas, TX. At each event, six teams of six players each will compete on the games “Unreal Tournament” and “FarCry”. Exciting prizes from GameRiot sponsors will be awarded at each stop to the highest scoring teams. To accommodate the competition and provide even more room for gamers around the country, GameRiot has created a new, larger tent that is capable of being contracted, expanded and reconfigured into a multitude of configurations to meet the particular demands of specific sites, or specific competitions. Additionally, the tour’s new titles represent some of the most highly anticipated games in the industry. “Star Wars Battlefront”, which will be released on September 21st, day and date with the Star Wars Trilogy DVD set, will be played on networked terminals at GameRiot, allowing for competitive play. The game lets players face off in the most memorable Star Wars battles set in over 16 environments across 10 diverse planets, utilizing over 20 different soldier types from four factions: Rebel Alliance, Imperial Army, Clone Army and Droid Army. “ESPN NHL 2K5” comes with improved player control, an all-new fighting engine and lightning fast gameplay that truly captures the feel and pace of NHL-caliber hockey. “ESPN NBA 2K5” features the smoothest and most realistic graphics, improved artificial intelligence and all kinds of new camera angles. In “Burnout 3: Takedown”, players race, crash and grind their way through oncoming traffic with an innovative special effects engine.
