The fourth chapter of The Elder Scrolls series, unveiled two months ago (story), has been officialy announced today by Bethesda Softworks LLC. In development for PC and future generation consoles since 2002, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is "another leap forward in role-playing with its combination of freeform gameplay and cutting-edge graphics". The world-exclusive details on Oblivion are featured in the October issue of Game Informer which will hit the newsstands on September 23. Bethesda Softworks LLC, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(tm) is currently in development for PC and future generation consoles.
