- The RollerCoaster Tycoon demo, previously scheduled for launch yesterday, has been delayed to September 20th. Thanks: Phillip.
- An update for the Mac version of Battlefield 1942 has been released - click here or here. This update to BF1942 Mac adds better joystick controls, more stable networking code and PunkBuster support, and several other fixes. This is apublic test version of the patch. An official final version of the patch will be released in the coming weeks. Information on how to give feedback to Aspyr Media on this patch and the full list of fixes is included in the patch's ReadMe.
- The Mac version of Homeworld 2 has gone gold and is expected to begin shipping at the end, Aspyr Media announced. Homeworld 2 requires Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later, PowerPC G4/G5, 800 MHz or faster, 256MB RAM (512 recommended), 1.0GB of free disk space, 3D Graphics Acceleration required (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better), 32MB of video ram (VRAM) required, 8X CD-ROM. Multiplayer requirements are Internet and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported, Internet play requires a 56Kbps or faster connection, and Mac-to-Mac network play only.
- Two new soundtracks from Kult Heretic Kingdoms, the RPG in the works at 3D People are available on its official website - both file are in .ogg format.
- GameBiz reported that Take 2 Interactive have worked out a publishing agreement with Fund 4 Games to publish Juiced.
- Richard Garriott from NCsoft announced that Tabula Rasa, the MMORPG in the works at Destination Games, has been delayed: "The game won't be out this winter and likely won't be ready for some months beyond that. The good news is that we continue to be committed to launching Tabula Rasa only when it is ready". Thanks: Blues.
