  • Aspyr Media, Inc. announced they will publish Call of Duty: United Offensive for Macintosh later this year. The game is expected to ship in November and will soon be available for preorder here. They also announced that the demo of Battlefield 1942 for Macintosh is available here.
  • Sony Online Entertainment announced that the EverQuest 2 beta-testers from Europe will be able to play on any of SOE's EverQuest II servers including those servers based North America (and vice versa). There will be no server lock-outs based on location. At launch, there will be English, French and German servers, each localized in the corresponding language. SOE is taking the time and expense to make sure that French and German speakers have the same quality of gameplay that English speakers will.
  • CDV Software Entertainment and Alienware have teamed up to host a Codename: Panzers trivia challenge which began yesterday and will run through approximately November 1, 2004. The contestants can log onto the official website for details on prizes as well as how to participate.
  • We were informed that the Mac version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has shipped and will be available in North American stores on October 1st. For details, click here.
  • The Game Video Vault website, "a unique online library of videos featuring news, previews, reviews and interviews revolving around the effervescent world of computer and videogames", is now live, offering more than 50 hours of entertaining and informative video and 1000 searchable clips already live and online.
