  • Bungie posted the last weekly update for Halo 2, announcing the game is now done, so it should be gold in the near future: "Finished and shipped to a nebulous region known as RTC (Release To Certification) where it will be dumped from eight digital tapes onto a DVD and go through some final testing". This upcoming action title which will be released in US on November 9th and in UK two days later, exclusively for Xbox.

  • Crossover Media Group, LLC announced the launching of Videogames Transmedia, the first and only trade publication and information service that focuses on the convergence of interactive entertainment with other mainstream forms of entertainment including Hollywood, music, sports, exhibitions, and advertising. Videogames Transmedia is a subscription-based information service created by writers and editors who have made key contributions to such outlets as "Electronic Gaming Monthly," "GameSpot," "GameDaily," "The Official Playstation Magazine," "Variety," "The Washington Post," "The Hollywood Reporter," "Entertainment Weekly," the "San Jose Mercury News," "Rolling Stone," "USA Today," "ESPN.com," "Wired Magazine," "Playboy Magazine," and others. The first issue was published in electronic format in September 2004.
  • Irrational Games, the developer of System Shock 2 and Tribes: Vengeance announced that the dedicated website for Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich is recruiting one new champion of justice via the Calling All Heroes contest. Now, fans of Freedom Force can be part of the highly-celebrated Irrational development team by creating their own comic book hero. The winning character will be immortalized in Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich, and the creator’s name will also be included in the end credits.
  • Fan site Oblivion-Lost.com has translated an article regarding S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. It originally appeared in the Russian magazine PC Games (Issue 10/2004) and tells about how the development of the game started.
  • PC.IGN is reporting that Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth, previously scheduled for November 16th, has been delayed to December 6th.
