• Fan site Oblivion-Lost.com has a translation of part two of a developers' diary by GSC Game World that appeared in the Russian print magazine "PC Games" (issue 11/2004). The developers explain how the life simulation system was developped, what difficulties they had to face and how the A.I. works in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.


• The latest dedicated server tools for the Medal of Honor series, including the Spearhead and Breakthrough expansion packs, are available here and here. The dedicated server tool allows you to run a server under OS X for multiplayer, using the full resources of the Mac for the server when you do not want to also play on that Mac at the same time.


• TLC Industries, Inc. announced their IAAPA show lineup, featuring a dozen FlexArcade games to be released by the end of Q1 2005, including three games available now: Hamsterball, Orbz and Bandits: BattleZone. TLC Industries will also present the public premiere of their second generation LAN Zone units, a self contained gaming center featuring Half Life 2, Battlefield 1942 and other popular online multiplayer games. IAAPA runs Wednesday, Nov. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 20 in Orlando, Florida. TLC Industries will display in booth #630.


• elkware have signed a three-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks' "German Wunderkind" and three times NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki. This deal will enable the development and further worldwide marketing of several mobile sports games in which the only German NBA player and captain of the German national basketball team will star exclusively.


• British developer Pitbull Syndicate Ltd announced their presence at the 4th annual Game Connection 2004. It will take place on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th of December and will be held in: L'Espace Tête d'Or Convention Center Lyon Villeurbanne FRANCE. Their booth number will be N°62. Pitbull Syndicate will be demonstrating their in house developed proprietary k9 Game Engine. This engine’s main function is to make powerful rendering, physics and AI system with a flexible and user-friendly toolset to facilitate the creation, testing and integration of game environments quickly and efficiently.
