Alawar Entertainment has released a playable demo of Back to Earth 2, a new space shooter developed by Backspace Software featuring simple mouse controls, dazzling visual effects, stereo sound and hordes of alien invaders. Instead of using both a primary and an alternate fire button, Back to Earth 2 allows the player to toggle different combinations of weapons, all of which are fired with a single button. During an intense battle, for example, the player can switch to a combination of Lasers and Missiles. Hotshots start with a pair of lead-spewing Gatling Guns and collect more armaments as the game progresses. The game can be purchased from its official website.
