Enlight has released a new patch for Zoo Empire, which "further refines the hunger algorithm so that animals will no longer die of hunger so long as there is food in the exhibit". Released in September 2004, the game features over 40 species and subspecies of animals including both rare and endangered species, over 200 buildings, items and facilities to create a zoo, all modeled in 3D, and a campaign mode with 20 scenarios.
