GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that 3D Realms stopped work on an amateur Half-Life 2 mod which aimed to recreate their Duke Nukem 3D released in 1996. The company informed the fans that it does not allow any of its intellectual property to be used in conversions or mods for other game engines, forcing the project to be shut down.
