Take-Two Signs Civilization IV

We informed you last November that Atari sold the Civilization franchise, making a capital gain of 15.5 million euros (story). Today, Take-Two Interactive announced that it has purchased certain rights to the Civilization franchise, and has signed a long-term, multi-title publishing agreement with Firaxis Games. Civilization IV, the game in the works at this company, will be published during late 2005 under Take-Two’s 2K Games, their recently created label (story) - future expansions and additional PC and console games are planned.
