     1. MSX Resource Center published the results of an MSX emulator comparison - twelve MSX emulators have been put to the test. The relatively new emulator BlueMSX 2.1 ranks first, followed closely by the open source initiative openMSX 0.5.0. MSX emulation makes it possible to enjoy these games like like Final Fantasy 1, Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and Vampire Killer (Castlevania) on any modern PC. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the professional organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of interactive arts, announced that Trip Hawkins will be awarded the AIAS Hall of Fame Award, joining an elite group of interactive entertainment industry legends. Hawkins will be given the award at the 8th Annual Interactive Achievements Awards ceremony, being held at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas on February 1, the second evening of the 2005 D.I.C.E. Summit. Previous winners of the AIAS Hall of Fame award include 2004&rsquo;s winner Peter Molyneux of Lionhead Studios (Black & White); 2003&rsquo;s winner Yu Suzuki of SEGA&reg; Corporation (AFTER [JRO1] <#_msocom_1> BURNER, F355 Challenge, Shenmue series, Virtua Fighter 4 f); 2002&rsquo;s winner Will Wright of Maxis (SimCity, The Sims, The Sims Online); 2001's winner John Carmack (DOOM, Quake); 2000's winner Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy); 1999's winner Sid Meier (Civilization, Railroad Tycoon); and 1998's winner Shigeru Miyamoto (Pikman, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda, Mario). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3. The fan site Oblivion-Lost.com is hosting the latest desktop calendar for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, available in a resolution of 1600x1200.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;4. Paramount Parks, "one of the world&rsquo;s leading developers and operators of theme parks and location-based entertainment", and Games Media Properties, "a leading creator of video game entertainment and media", announced a partnership to bring intense video game action and competition to five Paramount Parks nationwide this summer. Free with park admission to all 12 million people that attend Paramount Parks each summer, The Gamefest Tour allows park attendees to compete on the hottest new and yet-to-be-released video games in a high intensity, stimulating multimedia environment with prizes and free giveaways. Beginning May 26 at Paramount&rsquo;s Great America Park in California, the Gamefest Tour will sit three weeks at each park, resulting in 99 total events throughout the summer.
