Midway Games Inc. today announced that the GameCube version of Mortal Kombat: Deception, the game released in October 2004 for for PS2 and Xbox, has gone gold and will hit the store shelves on February 28, 2005. Mortal Kombat: Deception features powerful hand-to-hand and special weapons combat, four unique gameplay modes (Kombat, Konquest, Puzzle and Chess Kombat) along with all-new fighting combinations and multiple character specific fatalities. The game received the "Fighting Game of the Year" award at the 8th Annual Interactive Achievements Awards held February 1st, 2005, at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
