Atari today announced that Act of War: Direct Action has gone gold for Europe and it's on schedule for the March 18th ship date. The game features a story created and written by New York Times best-selling author Dale Brown and nearly one hour of original, live-action feature film footage. Act of War takes place in the near future when there is a energy crisis, You can play as US, Consortium or the Task Force Talon. Consortium group is a group of oil barons who finance terrorists to attack things in order to sell the oil for higher prices. The Task Force Talon is financed by a so called crisis tax and tracks down terrorists trying to stop them. Don't forget to check out the demo taken from the game's level six mission set in Egypt, entitled "Falling Hawk".
