Atari today announced that Act of War: Direct Action, the geopolitical techno-thriller developed by Eugen Systems, has shipped to the US retailers at a suggested retail price $49.99. The game features a story created and written by New York Times best-selling author Dale Brown and nearly one hour of original, live-action feature film footage. Act of War takes place in the near future when there is a energy crisis, You can play as US, Consortium or the Task Force Talon. Consortium group is a group of oil barons who finance terrorists to attack things in order to sell the oil for higher prices. The Task Force Talon is financed by a so called crisis tax and tracks down terrorists trying to stop them.
