Opening of the Mouth
There's a thread over on
/. about the Neo-Geo. The Neo-Geo was released over 12 years ago and people are still making games for it. Amazing. Just goes to show you that super, whiz-bang, shiney, bump-mapped graphics aren't then end all ad be all of video games. People can have plenty of fun with games without all that stuff as some people have made abundantly
clear.
Played a shitload more of Morrowind this weekend. It's the type of game that gets better the farther you get into it. It doesn't really get good until you are at least 10+ hours in. That might seem like a long time but considering it easily has 200-400 hours of gameplay in it, well it ain't much. It definitely takes a certain type of person to play these huge PC RPGs. I mean, sure you've probably played that much of Quake or CS but in little bite-sized portions. Morrowind is like a damn commitment. Like if you don't spend enough time with it, you wouldn't be suprised if you got a call on your cell:
"Hello?"
"Where have you been? WHy haven't you come to see me?"
"Oh! Baby, I'm so sorry! B-but...I have to go to work sometimes and shcoo-"
"Stop with the excuses! Are you seeing someone else?"
"No! You know you're the only one for me."
"LIAR, YOU'VE GOT SOF2 INSTALLED ON YOUR HARDRIVE, SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ME YOU SLUT!"
