Electronic Arts today announced that Battlefield 2 has sold more than 1.2 million copies worldwide. Developed by Digital Illusions, the Battlefield franchise has now sold over 7.2 million copies worldwide. The third Battlefield 2 patch everybody is waiting for will be released in the end of August and will contain over 140 fixes and improvements.
