     Writers Wanted:
     We need writers willing to do editorials (Xbox 360 vs PS3/etc) Interviews (ask companies questions on upcoming titles) and maybe other articles. As of now our current staff is busy with school and reviews, so they have no time to do interviews and editorials. If you want to start working for us, this is a good place to start. Please, serious inquiries only. If you can't write, don't bother, our editors are busy enough as it is :) If you can write the English language very well and are interested in writing please inquire within. English does not have to be your native language, only well written. You can live anywhere in the world. You must have a desire to write, and write a lot. Knowledge of computers and games is a plus.      1. Foundation 9 Entertainment, Inc., the largest independent game developer in North America, announced its efforts to give back some of its success to the community. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Foundation 9’s employees donated nearly $10,000 to various relief organizations. The company has now matched half that amount in donations, with money to be spent on relief and rebuilding efforts for victims of the disaster. Besides matching employee donations in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Foundation 9 has also chosen to support the Teen Adventure Challenge in LA this November, where the company will be a sponsor of the event and donate games to be given away as part of the prize packages.      2. Breakout documentary, Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock, will be premiering at the AFI Fest 2005 on Friday, November 4 at 10:00pm at the Arclight Theaters with one additional screening on Saturday, November 5 at 3:30pm.
     3. Leading High Street bookmaker totesport has teamed up with consumer publishing giant Haymarket to deliver internet betting and gaming services to its readers. In an exclusive tie-up, totesport.com will provide jointly branded Internet betting services to a range of Haymarket titles including AutoCar, What Car, F1 Racing and Stuff magazine. Each Haymarket online magazine site will display a tailored site from the bookmaker including a wide range of SP betting markets and access to pool betting from the 59 UK racecourses, operated exclusively by the tote. In connection with their strategic growth, 10TACLE STUDIOS AG takes over the majority of shares in the Belgian development studio Elsewhere Entertainment and thus founds 10TACLE STUDIOS Belgium. Yves Grolet’s team made up of 22 members is specialized in action-adventure games. Grolet and his team became known due to their work on the popular PC game Outcast. Details here.
     5. The Kling Klang Studio software v1.00 has been released. It allows to extract a melody from an original audio CD, download free ringtones, import from an MP3 file or take a microphone and record what you want directly - Kling Klang Studio converts the ringtone for you. Transfer can be done wireless via infrared or bluetooth (if supported by the hardware) otherwise it can be saved to hard disk and tranfered using the telephone software. For details, click here.
     6. GoPets, Ltd. announced that it has entered into a long-term exclusive marketing and operations agreement with industry veteran, Game Garden, for the Japanese portion of GoPetsLive. Launched in the form of a public beta earlier this year, GoPets is a unique online entertainment service offering friend making, social networking and games. Currently consisting of cats and dogs, GoPets are 3D animated creatures housed on the desktops of computer users across the globe. These pets are able to interact with other GoPets characters all across the world. More info here.

Portsmouth UK based Mobile Amusements, headed by games industry veteran Adrian Cummings, revealed the direct signing of several new mobile game titles to leading Netherlands based mobile publisher Overloaded and Mobile Games Top 10 on a globally exclusive basis. First off the production line is Mouse Panic! for Java mobiles, a new puzzle game, which is available now on Nokia, SonyEricsson and very soon on Samsung, Motorola, Siemens and other device to be confirmed. 8. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 for Mac has hit beta status. The game, scheduled to ship in November, is licensed from Atari and under development for Mac by Aspyr Studios based on Frontier's original code.
