     We need writers willing to do editorials (Xbox 360 vs PS3/etc) Interviews (ask companies questions on upcoming titles) and maybe other articles. As of now our current staff is busy with school and reviews, so they have no time to do interviews and editorials. If you want to start working for us, this is a good place to start. Please, serious inquiries only. If you can't write, don't bother, our editors are busy enough as it is :) If you can write the English language very well and are interested in writing please inquire within. English does not have to be your native language, only well written. You can live anywhere in the world. You must have a desire to write, and write a lot. Knowledge of computers and games is a plus.      1. JoWooD Productions, Piranha Bytes and KOCH Media announced a Christmas Competition for all Gothic fans. For 4 weeks (each Wednesday) they will ask you a question about Gothic. Those happy people who will be able to get all the questions answered correctly, will participate in the lottery.      2. NVIDIA Corporation announced that it has joined forces with Hybrid Graphics to deploy their high-level M3G (JSR 184) 3D API on top of the NVIDIA GoForce GPU. This collaboration will deliver the industry's first one-stop, native JSR/OpenGL ES development platform for mobile phone manufacturers. More info in this press release.
     3. VIACGA needs to find a good home for brand new PC versions of Ultimate Spiderman as well as X Men Legends: Rise of the Apocalypse II and is running a competition to give them away. To be in the running to win either game, you have to tell what you think would win in a fight between Spiderman and Wolverine, and why. Whoever puts the best case forward for Spidey will win Ultimate Spiderman. Whoever puts the best case forward for Wolverine will win X Men Legends: Rise of the Apocalypse II. All submitions should be entered in the VIACGA forums in this thread. The competiton closes on the 24th of November.
     4. iGames, the world’s leading game center organization, announced a slate of upcoming special events scheduled to run in conjunction with the recent launch of Activision’s and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 2. Co-sponsored by Intel, NVIDIA and EVGA and with prizes provided by Ideazon, the battles commence with a two-month ladder competition beginning on November 16 and running through January 17, 2006. In addition, the special iGames launch campaign featured an exclusive one-day premier that took place on October 28 and a showcase which ends on November 13. As with all iGames special events, participation is free and players taking part in the ladder competition will face off against fellow fraggers at iGames member centers across North America.      5. JMP Productions announced that PLAY!, a symphony concert series with music from a catalogue of blockbuster video game titles will tour the world, starting in North America in April 2006. PLAY! A Video Game Symphony concerts, to be performed by full orchestra and choir, will feature award-winning music from titles such as Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Battlefield 1942, World of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Outstanding graphics on large screens above the orchestra will accompany the scores, highlighting memorable moments from the video games. Read the press release for more details.

Peripheral’s specialist Pinpoint Consumer Electronics has launched two new advanced disc repair systems that promise to repair scratched discs in under a minute, setting the new world standard in optical disc repair. The SkipDR Advanced, and the SkipDR Automax remove scratches from CDs, DVDs, games, photo and data discs that can cause skipping and freezing and interrupt play. Both the SkipDR Advanced and the SkipDR Automax use a chemical free process that does not damage the data stored on discs. More info in this press release.
